The negative-parity spin-1/2 Λ baryon spectrum from lattice QCD and effective theory

The spectrum of the negative-parity spin-1/2 Λ baryons is studied using lattice QCD and hadronic effective theory in a unitarized coupled-channel framework. A direct comparison between two approaches possible by considering finite volume with hadron masses mesonic decay constants that correspond to situation on lattice. Comparing energy level SU(3) flavor decompositions individual states, it found lowest states extracted from can be associated one Λ(1405)-poles Λ(1670) resonance. quark mass dependences these levels are good agreement their counterparts. However, as current studies still rely three-quark operators generate physical clear signals corresponding meson-baryon scattering appear calculation, not yet seen.
